Russia plans to index financial assistance in case of terrorist attacks and emergencies

Russia may increase the amount of financial assistance provided to citizens in terrorist attacks and emergencies. The Ministry of Emergency Situations took the initiative to index these payments. The relevant draft law has been published on the portal of legal acts.

We are talking about applying the 1.095 coefficient to one-time financial assistance to citizens in connection with the loss of essential property, one-time allowances for natural and man-made emergencies, compensation payments to individuals and legal entities who suffered damage as a result of a terrorist act. The agency proposes to carry out indexation from April 1, 2025.

It is also proposed to increase the amount of reimbursement to the regions for their expenses related to financial assistance.
