The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has authorized the import of 2.2 thousand tons of butter as part of the duty-free import program, as indicated in the official documents of the department.
According to information as of February 5, 2025, the remaining amount of butter covered by the preferential tariff is 22,799 tons. Thus, the batch approved for import amounts to 2,201 tons. On November 29, 2024, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided to abolish import duties on 25 thousand tons of butter for Russia. This decision came into force on December 23 and will remain in force until mid-June 2025.
