By the end of 2024, Russia reduced seed imports by 2.5 times year-on-year. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Marina Afonina.
"The import of seeds in 2024 decreased by more than 2 times compared to 2023, almost 2.5 times," Afonina said at a meeting in the Federation Council, stressing that Russian agricultural producers increasingly began to use domestic seeds.
