More than 15% of the total trade volume in Russia is accounted for by sales through marketplaces, said Roman Chekushov, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. He noted that there is an increase in e-commerce, especially in the delivery of goods that are ordered through offline network applications.

Chekushov emphasized at the plenary session of Prodexpo 2025 that the development of marketplaces plays a significant role in modern trade. At the same time, he pointed out the need for comprehensive regulation to ensure the quality and safety of goods, regardless of their sales channels. This includes meeting the requirements for the necessary certificates and labeling.
