The Government of the Russian Federation has added butter and eggs to the list of socially significant goods for which payment of bonuses to retailers is not allowed. This is reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the current trade law, suppliers pay retailers a reward for purchasing a certain amount of goods from them. With the introduction of a new requirement for eggs and butter, this practice will be eliminated, which will allow manufacturers to reduce costs when delivering products to retail chains, and use the released funds to modernize and expand production.

It is assumed that this measure will help reduce wholesale and selling prices.
