The Russian government has introduced regional quotas for corn exports from Russia

The Government of the Russian Federation has introduced regional quotas for the export of corn from Russia outside the EAEU. These quotas will be valid from February 15 to June 30, 2025 and apply to producers from Primorsky Krai and Amur Region.

Producers from Primorsky Krai will be able to export 337,000 tons of corn, and farmers from the Amur Region will be able to export 200,000 tons.

This decision was made taking into account the projected balance of corn production and consumption in the Far Eastern Federal District. It aims to help local farmers sell their surplus produce abroad if there is no demand for it in neighboring regions.
