Starting in 2025, as part of a project to eliminate digital inequality, mass installation of domestic base stations for connecting sparsely populated areas to high-speed Internet will begin in Russia. This was reported by TASS with reference to the head of the Ministry of Finance Maksut Shadaev.
It is assumed that the installation of GSM/LTE mobile communication base stations will begin in villages and villages with a population of 100 to 500 people. This should provide local residents with high-quality voice communication and fast mobile Internet.
