In 2024, Russian airlines increased passenger traffic by 6%, reaching 111.7 million people. Domestic flights carried 84.7 million passengers, which is almost 2% more than a year earlier, while international traffic increased by 20.1%, reaching 27 million passengers.

Russian Transport Minister Roman Starovoit said that air transportation has exceeded the level of 2021. The ten largest carriers, including Aeroflot, Pobeda, S7 Airlines and others, transported 97.2 million people in 2024, which is 6.9% more than the previous year.
