In Russia in 2024, the production of raw milk amounted to 34 million tons. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev announced the increase in production during the congress of the National Union of Milk Producers.
According to Patrushev, the annual increase amounted to 200,000 tons, which is about 5% in percentage terms. He noted that the growth corresponds to the previously announced forecasts. Patrushev emphasized that about 70% of the total production volume came from the organized sector. Along with the increase in the production of raw milk, its processing also increased, in particular, the production of drinking milk, cream, fermented dairy products, yoghurts, cheeses, and ice cream increased. Exports of these products also increased. In 2024, new markets were opened for Russian dairy products, for example, Syria, Kuwait and Bangladesh. In total, these products are exported to more than 90 countries.
