Lower prices for red caviar are being recorded in Russia. This is reported by TASS with reference to the data of the Fish Union.

According to experts, the price reduction for this product began after the New Year holidays. So, by the end of January, 1 kg of pink salmon caviar fell in price to 8-10.6 thousand rubles, chum salmon - to 9.8 thousand rubles, coho salmon - to 11.6 thousand rubles, sockeye salmon - to 9.6 thousand rubles, which is 10% lower than December prices and 15-20% lower than November prices.

- The forecast of the Fish Union that the price of 13 thousand rubles per kilogram of red caviar was clearly "overheated&"and there will be a decline in December and January, which is fully confirmed by the market," the organization stressed.

According to Rosstat, 9.4 thousand tons of red caviar were produced in Russia in January-November 2024, which is 2.5 times lower than the same period in 2023.
