The Ministry of Labor proposes to take into account all periods of parental leave in the insurance record

The Russian Ministry of Labor has developed a new draft law that provides for accounting for all periods of parental leave in the insurance record.This bill is already available for public discussion.

So, on behalf of the president, the Ministry of Labor proposes to take into account all periods of child care, and not just up to one and a half years and no more than six years in total for four children, as it was before. This change will increase the future pension of parents in large families.

The new rules will also apply to those who are already retired. After the adoption of the law, parents with many children will be able to apply to the Social Fund of Russia to recalculate their insurance pension. Currently, the insurance record includes not only periods of work, but also time to care for a child up to one and a half years, but previously there was a limit of six years to account for the care of four children.
