Over the next five years, more than 30 robotics development centers may appear in Russia. This is reported with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Trade "Kommersant".

The authorities plan to allocate over 15 billion rubles for their creation. Of the total funding for 2025-2027, 8 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes. The main tasks of the robotics development centers will be to stimulate research and development work in industrial robotics; reproduction of foreign technologies, as well as the development and testing of domestic robotic solutions; and personnel training.

It is assumed that by 2030 at least three robotics development centers will appear in each federal district. They will be created on the basis of local industrial enterprises, universities and their structural divisions. Innopolis University, which launched the first such center in 2024, will be responsible for their creation.
