Fuel prices in Europe have increased by 20% since December last year due to the termination of Russian gas transit through Ukraine. This was stated by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto, writes TASS.
Thus, gas prices in Europe are rising, according to Szijjarto, including due to sanctions, as well as the elimination of energy sources for political reasons, blocking certain transport routes.
On January 1, 2025, Gazprom stopped gas supplies through Ukraine after the expiration of the contract with the Ukrainian Naftogaz.
