Starting from January 9, 2025, the Central Bank will resume regular operations within the framework of the budget rule in the domestic foreign exchange market, which were suspended in November 2024.
In this regard, the regulator has set the volume of transactions in the domestic foreign exchange market for the first half of 2025. Thus, taking into account the volume of currency purchases announced by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation under the budget rule from December 6, 2024 to January 14, 2025 at 5.45 billion rubles/day, the Central Bank will carry out net currency sales from January 9 to January 14, 2025 in the amount of 3.41 billion rubles/day.
From January 15 to June 30, 2025, the purchase or sale of foreign currency will be carried out based on the adjustment of the volume of regular transactions announced monthly by the Ministry of Finance within the framework of the budget rule by the amount of sales in the amount of 8.86 billion rubles/day.
