The construction of 5G infrastructure will begin in Russia in 2026

In Russia, the construction of 5G infrastructure will begin in 2026, after the first samples of Russian base stations are released in series. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Finance Maksut Shadaev during a speech at the Federation Council.

According to Shadaev, the construction of the necessary infrastructure will begin with two cities. By 2030, the number of cities with 5G infrastructure will grow to 16. High-speed communications will be available to 16-17 million subscribers.
