Putin replaced the Moscow prosecutor

Maxim Zhuk, who previously held the position of prosecutor of the Tver region, took over the post of prosecutor of Moscow. The corresponding decree on the release of Zhuk from his post and his appointment to the post of metropolitan prosecutor was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Maxim Zhuk will take up a new job for a five-year term. Prior to his appointment, Denis Popov had held this position since 2019.
