Tariffs for passenger and freight transportation by rail will increase by 11.6% and 13.8%

FAS has agreed on the Russian Railways indexation of tariffs for rail transportation of passengers and cargo for 2025. This is reported by "Kommersant"/a> with reference to the prepared draft resolution.
So, starting from December 1, 2024, tariffs will be indexed by 11.6% for passenger transportation and by 13.8% for cargo transportation. The cost of tickets will increase for passengers of reserved seats, shared wagons, coupes, SV and luxury wagons. Tariffs for the transportation of containers and mineral construction goods will also increase. From January 1, 2025, they will increase by 5%. Empty mileage rates are increased by 10%.
In Russian Railways, the increase in tariffs was explained by the need to fulfill obligations under the investment program planned for 2025.
