The Komi Republic may be headed by Rostislav Goldstein, Governor of the Jewish Autonomous Region, instead of Vladimir Uiba, who resigned. This is reported with reference to a source in the presidential administration "Kommersant".

The AP emphasized that Goldstein is familiar with the region. In the 90s and 2000s, he was a deputy of the Komi State Council, and also served as deputy chairman of the State Council.
