The EU extended individual sanctions against Russians for six months, correcting the blacklist

The European Union has amended the sanctions list of Russians and extended its validity for the next six months. The relevant information was announced by the EU Council.

Individual sanctions against Russians responsible for "undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine&", extended until March 15, 2025.

Five deceased people were excluded from the blacklist, and it was also decided not to extend sanctions against two Russians. According to Western media, the last two are racing driver Nikita Mazepin and the mother of the deceased founder of PMCs «Wagner » Evgenia Prigozhina - Violetta.

Currently there are over 2.2 thousand individuals and legal entities on the EU blacklist.
