Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended the food embargo until 2026. This is reported by the decree on the website of the official publication of legal acts.

It is reported that special economic measures have been extended from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2026.

In August 2024, Russia imposed a food embargo in response to the sanctions. The restrictions affected the USA, the EU, Canada, Australia and Norway.
