Pavel Durov, the founder of the Telegram messenger, admitted that he collaborated with the French special services, which helped prevent several terrorist attacks. This is reported in particular by the French newspaper Liberation.

According to the sources of the publication, during the interrogation Pavel Durov said that he maintained contacts with the General Directorate of Internal Security of France (DGSI) and met with its representatives in Dubai. Thanks to this, several terrorist attacks were prevented. In addition, Pavel Durov, as part of the fight against terrorism, opened an official communication channel with DGSI with a hotline and a special e-mail address.

However, according to the publication, Pavel Durov, in a conversation with employees of the French special services, made it clear that it would be inappropriate for him to disclose information constituting a military secret. The newspaper did not specify what it was about.
