Foreign agent Ilya Shumanov was put on the wanted list, a criminal case was opened against him

Director General of the anti-corruption organization Transparency International Russia (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as an undesirable organization in Russia - ed.) Ilya Shumanov (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent - ed.) was put on the wanted list.

Relevant information is published on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. As far as we know, Ilya Shumanov is wanted in a criminal case that has been initiated and is being investigated by police officers. Ilya Shumanov may be wanted in connection with the initiation of a case against him for evading the duties of a foreign agent. Last year, he received a fine of 100,000 rubles for the absence of marking of a foreign agent in publications (Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code). Nevertheless, Ilya Shumanov did not label the information about himself that he is a foreign agent.

Ilya Shumanov is currently outside of Russia. It is not known in which country.
