The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a list of health and wellness areas and resorts of federal significance. The government decree has been signed and will come into force on September 1, it follows from the document. At the same time, the document records the list of resort regions.
The order is aimed at implementing the law adopted last summer and is aimed at creating the state register of the resort fund of the Russian Federation from September 1, 2024. This register will be maintained by an authorized federal body as part of the unified state information system in the field of healthcare.According to the document, the list approved by the government includes one health and wellness area located in the Novgorod region between Lakes Supper and Valdayskoye. In addition, the list includes resorts of federal significance such as Anapa, Alupka, Alushta, Sochi, Belokurikha, Zelenogradsk, Ples, Teberda, Gurzuf, Simeiz, Koreiz-Mishor, Livadia, Oreanda and Yalta, as well as Caucasian Mineral Waters.
This list is intended to share responsibility for resorts. Federal resorts will be supervised by the Ministry of Health, and resorts that are not included in the list will receive regional curators represented by regional ministries of health. Sanatorium-resort organizations will be able to use only natural healing resources, information about which is included in the register of the resort fund.
The list is open, subject to change.
