Russia is preparing for the complete abolition of visas with some countries. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov during the plenary session of the BRICS Tourism Forum, TASS reports.

In particular, negotiations on the abolition of visas are underway with some countries in the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America.

He also noted that Russia launched electronic visas in 2023. In less than a year, 300 thousand foreign citizens have managed to use this mechanism, more than 60% of whom are representatives of the BRICS countries.
