The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia will analyze the deal between the well-known marketplace &Wildberries» and the outdoor advertising operator of the group &Russ» to combine their assets, as they announced the day before. This was stated by the head of the department Maxim Shaskolsky in an interview with journalists on the sidelines of the Antimonopoly Forum 2024.

According to Maxim Shaskolsky, the FAS preliminarily evaluates it as "potentially positive for the market", however, the request for approval of the transaction has not yet been received by the FAS. According to the head of the FAS, the agency would be very concerned if there was a merger of Wildberries with Ozon. As for the fact that parts of Russ and Wildberries will merge, the situation will be carefully studied.

"p>Companies are successful, developing in different segments, perhaps a positive effect will be achieved for entrepreneurs, for consumers," Maxim Shaskolsky said.

Recall «Wildberries» in its telegram channel  announced that the marketplace and the Russ group are teaming up to create the latest digital trading platform. The parties have not yet disclosed the legal and financial parameters and the format of the merger itself.
