### Russia Prevents $180 Million in Illegal Cash Exports in April-July 2026 Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced during parliamentary hearings at the Federation Council that authorities had prevented the illegal export of approximately $180 million in cash from Russia between April and July 2026. Siluanov noted that a total of 291 cases of illegal cash export were intercepted during this period. Since April 1, 2026, Russia has imposed restrictions on the export of cash rubles to countries within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Individuals are now prohibited from exporting more than $100,000 in cash to EAEU countries, while legal entities and individual entrepreneurs are completely banned from exporting any cash, regardless of the amount.
