Russia Offers Middle East Countries Assistance in Rebuilding Damaged Refineries

Russia is ready to collaborate with Arabian Peninsula countries on supplying oil and gas equipment for the restoration of refineries that were attacked during the Middle East conflict, said Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade, at the international congress "Russian Engineer".

"We have developed our competencies in oil and gas equipment to the point where we can offer an alternative to global licensors," Alikhanov was quoted as saying by Interfax.

He noted that Russia has established its own industry standards system, which competes with the American Pyotroleum Institute (API) standards. Alikhanov emphasized that Arab partners are gradually recognizing this system. Russia expects similar recognition for its standards in LNG equipment and offshore development.
