Russian Finance Ministry to Increase Foreign Currency and Gold Purchases Under Budget Rule

The Russian Finance Ministry will increase its purchases of foreign currency and gold under the budget rule. From October 7 to November 6, the ministry plans to purchase foreign currency and gold worth 279.42 billion rubles, with a daily transaction volume equivalent to 12.7 billion rubles, according to a ministry statement.

In the previous month, the Finance Ministry purchased foreign currency and gold worth 55.6 billion rubles, with a daily transaction volume of 2.5 billion rubles. As a result, purchases in October and November will increase fivefold.
