### Oil Prices Surge Amid Houthi Attacks and Pipeline Shutdown in Saudi Arabia
Oil prices saw a sharp increase during trading on September 14, according to data from the London-based ICE Futures exchange and the New York Mercantile Exchange. The rise was driven by new attacks by Houthi rebels on Saudi Arabian facilities and the closure of a major oil pipeline in the kingdom.
November futures for Brent crude oil rose by 2.45%, reaching $107.17 per barrel.
Meanwhile, October futures for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil climbed by 2.56%, hitting $102.61 per barrel.
Over the previous week, both oil benchmarks had already risen by more than 8%.
