Russian Stock Indices MICEX, RTS Down 0.3% at Market Open

Russian stock market experienced a moderate decline at the start of the main trading session on Tuesday, September 1, according to data from the Moscow Exchange.

In the first few minutes of trading, the Moscow Exchange Index stood at 2171.61 points (-0.3%), while the RTS Index was at 791.95 points (-0.3%).

Among the index stocks, the biggest decliners were Polus (-3.3%), Severstal (-1.4%), AFK Sistema (-1.4%), Rusal (-1.2%), Tatneft (-1.1%), Alrosa (-1%), Lukoil (-0.7%), Surgutneftegaz (-0.7% and -0.4% for preferred shares), MМК (-0.7%), Aeroflot (-0.6%), Norilsk Nickel (-0.6%), Rosneft (-0.4%), X5 Group (-0.4%), Sberbank (-0.3% and -0.3% for preferred shares), VK (-0.3%), T-Technologies (-0.3%), HeadHunter (-0.2%), and Group Companies PIK (-0.1%).

On the other hand, shares of Moscow Credit Bank (+5.7%), PhosAgro (+2.3%), Novatek (+0.5%), Inter RAO (+0.5%), MTS (+0.2%), VTB (+0.1%), and Yandex (+0.1%) saw gains.
