### Russian Flower Prices Surge Amid Currency Fluctuations and Supply Chain Disruptions By September, the average price of flower bouquets in Russia has increased by 6-9% compared to the same period last year, according to data from Platforma OFD (a fiscal data operator) and market participants, as reported by Kommersant. The average cost of a bouquet now stands at 4,300 rubles ($68). Specifically, prices for cut flowers have seen the following increases over the past year: gladioli by 4%, roses by 13%, gerberas by 12%, chrysanthemums by 15%, and dahlias by 21%. Market players attribute the price hike to the depreciation of the Russian ruble, a sharp rise in operational costs due to fuel supply disruptions, and restrictions on imports from Armenia, which previously accounted for about 15% of the Russian rose market. Some of the lost imports have been replaced by shipments from Kenya.
