Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak has instructed the Ministry of Energy and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to enhance monitoring of price formation at independent gas stations. The agencies will intensify tracking of price dynamics in this segment of the fuel market.

During the meeting, special attention was given to ensuring compliance with agreements between regional operators and large independent gas station networks. Authorities plan to continue this work in cooperation with regional governments.

Relevant agencies have been tasked with monitoring the implementation of agreements and taking additional measures if necessary. Their goal is to ensure stable fuel supplies and prevent sharp changes in market prices.

The government also noted that FAS continues to monitor the activities of fuel sector companies. Within this framework, particular emphasis is placed on compliance with antitrust regulations and preventing potential violations.

Strengthening control is aimed at maintaining stability in the fuel market and increasing price transparency at independent gas stations.
