### Russian Air Defense Intercepts Massive Drone Attack Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted and neutralized a massive drone attack overnight, according to the Ministry of Defense. From 8:00 PM on August 29 to 8:00 AM on August 30, Russian air defense units detected and destroyed 494 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of aircraft type. The drones were detected over the territories of Leningrad, Bryansk, Belgorod, Kaluga, Kursk, Tver, Smolensk, Oryol, Pskov, Tula, and Novgorod regions. Additionally, UAVs were intercepted over Rostov region, Krasnodar territory, Moscow region, and the Republic of Crimea (a region claimed by Ukraine but annexed by Russia in 2014). A number of drones were also intercepted over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
