Russia, Ukraine exchange 10 prisoners each in Belarus

In the Gomel region of Belarus, another humanitarian exchange took place between Russia and Ukraine. According to the "First Information" TV channel, each side handed over 10 individuals.

The event was facilitated by the Belarusian side and carried out under the direction of President Alexander Lukashenko. As part of the agreement, 10 Ukrainian citizens who were on Belarusian territory were sent back to Ukraine, while 10 Russian soldiers who had previously been captured were transferred to Russia via the Belarus-Russia border.

Belarusian Parliament member Irina Kostevich stated that the Ukrainian citizens are returning to their homeland after violating migration and other legal norms in Belarus. The Russian soldiers, meanwhile, are undergoing the process of transfer and return home.

After an initial medical examination, the soldiers are expected to be transported to medical facilities in the Gomel region, where they will receive further assistance if needed.
