Russian Air Defense Successfully Intercepts Massive Drone Attack

Overnight, Russian air defense units successfully countered a large-scale attack by Ukrainian drones. From 8:00 PM on August 25 to 7:00 AM on August 26, Russian air defense forces intercepted and neutralized 426 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of aircraft type.

The drones were shot down over the territories of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Kaluga, Tula, Lipetsk, Voronezh, Tambov, Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, and Rostov regions, as well as Moscow region, Krasnodar territory, and the Republic of Crimea (a region claimed by Ukraine but annexed by Russia in 2014).
