Wildberries Warehouse Fire in Kotovsk Spreads to 100,000 Square Meters

An overnight drone strike on the Wildberries logistics center in Tambov region on August 26 led to the largest fire in the area in recent times. The blaze in Kotovsk, ignited by a falling drone, quickly intensified, with the area engulfed in flames increasing two and a half times within hours.
According to updates from the head of Tambov region as the situation unfolded, the initial estimate was 40,000 square meters. However, the fire spread at an alarming rate, and by Wednesday morning, the official figure reached 100,000 square meters.
Reception of new deliveries at the site has been completely halted. There are no reports of casualties so far, with all information still being verified. Emergency services continue to work on the scene, while the reasons for the attack and the circumstances are being investigated by the relevant authorities.
