Used Electric Car Sales Surge 40% in Russia in First Half of Year

In the first half of 2026, Russian citizens purchased 7,729 used electric vehicles, marking a 39.6% increase compared to the same period last year, according to Autostat, a leading Russian automotive market research agency.

In June alone, the used electric car market saw a 64% year-on-year growth, reaching 1,743 units.

Leading the used electric vehicle market from January to June were Japanese Nissan (1,715 units), Chinese Zeekr (1,240 units), and German Volkswagen (802 units). These three brands accounted for 48.6% of the total market. The top five also included American Tesla (702 units) and German Audi (623 units).
