### Drones Strike Moscow Region: Over 1,800 UAVs Detected in One Week
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that from 8:30 PM on July 11 to 8:30 AM on July 18, a total of 1,892 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were detected heading towards the Moscow region.
According to Sobyanin, the majority of drones were intercepted and destroyed by air defense forces at a distance from the region. Specifically, 207 enemy drones were shot down as they approached Moscow.
On the night of July 18, Ukrainian UAVs attacked targets in the Moscow and Tambov regions. In Elektrostal, a suburb of Moscow, a drone crashed into a Wildberries warehouse (a major Russian online retailer), injuring 24 people, some critically. The governor of the Moscow region, Andrey Vorobyov, later reported that the number of injured had risen to 37, with one fatality.
In Noginsk, another Moscow suburb, a drone crash led to a fire at an oil depot.
Another attack took place in Kотовsk, Tambov region, where a drone hit a Wildberries warehouse, injuring 25 people. According to Governor Evgeniy Pervyshov, 23 victims were hospitalized in Kovotsk, Tambov, and the regional hospital. One person is in critical condition, six in serious condition, and 16 in moderate condition. Medical personnel are providing all necessary assistance to the injured.
