The Russian government has taken special control over the fuel supply situation in regions that do not have vertically integrated oil companies, according to a statement from the government press service.
The fuel situation in these regions was specifically discussed during a recent meeting chaired by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. Representatives from the regions reported particularly difficult circumstances regarding fuel supply. They provided information on resource availability, logistical challenges, and existing restrictions that affect the stability of deliveries.
Alexander Novak instructed relevant government agencies to work together with industry companies to focus on the problems in these regions. By the next meeting of the task force, they are to develop and present additional targeted solutions, specific measures, and sequential steps aimed at stabilizing the situation in these regions.
- Earlier, authorities in (Crimea and Sevastopol, regions annexed by Russia in 2014) had announced that the fuel situation would not change in the near future, with restrictions remaining in place for about another month.
