June Trading Volume on SPB Exchange Increases by 8.4%

In June, the trading volume in the main trading session with Russian securities on the SPB Exchange reached 149.7 billion rubles. This represents an increase of 8.4% compared to May and 17.6% compared to the same period last year, according to a statement from the exchange.
The average daily trading volume in June was 5.16 billion rubles, up from 4.45 billion rubles the previous month.
The number of active investor accounts grew by 0.9% over the month, reaching 1.63 million.
Participants and their clients conducted 30.93 million securities trades in June, an increase of 8.1% month-on-month. In the main trading session, 4.13 million trades were executed, nearly five times more than the previous month.
The notional trading volume of "neoactives" (futures contracts) tripled in June. The average daily trading volume for these instruments rose from 1.49 billion rubles to 4.85 billion rubles.
The total trading volume of securities and "neoactives" in the main trading session on the SPB Exchange increased by 57.5% month-on-month, reaching 290.2 billion rubles.
