Traffic Backups at Crimean Bridge Exceed 1,900 Vehicles

As of 7:00 a.m., significant queues of vehicles waiting for manual inspection are still present on the approaches to the Crimean Bridge.

According to the Information Center monitoring the situation on the road approaches to the Crimean Bridge and preparation for inspections, around 700 vehicles are in line on the Taman side. The estimated waiting time exceeds two hours.

The situation remains more tense on the Kerch side: about 1,200 cars are waiting in line for inspection, with an estimated waiting time of over three hours.

The Crimean Bridge was closed to traffic from 11:50 p.m. on June 25 until 6:14 a.m. on June 26.

(The Crimean Bridge connects mainland Russia to the Crimean Peninsula, which was annexed by Russia in 2014. The manual inspections are part of security measures implemented by Russian authorities.)
