The Russian Ministry of Transport has drafted a decree that envisions increasing the frequency of scheduled inspections of airlines. The ministry proposes to shift to a preventive control system, which would involve identifying potential risks in advance and addressing them before they affect flight safety.
According to the Ministry of Transport, particular attention should be paid to commercial passenger transportation. Such organizations are proposed to be inspected at least once a year.
At the same time, the decree stipulates that some procedures will be digitized. Submitting documents, receiving consultations, and submitting objections to inspections will be possible through the state services website ("Gosuslugi") and the "Inspector" app.
