Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared that the country is focusing on creating its own technological trends in the fields of engineering and industry rather than borrowing solutions from abroad.
Speaking at the Congress of the Union of Engineers of Russia at the National Center "Rossiya", the head of state emphasized that the chosen strategy for developing domestic industry has already proven its effectiveness.
According to Putin, Russia is focused on producing competitive high-tech products, including modern aircraft, railway, and agricultural machinery. Special attention, he noted, is given to the development of industrial robots, digital platforms, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence technologies.
The president informed that programs aimed at stimulating demand for such products are already being implemented in the country, and assured that state support for these projects will continue.
Putin also stated that recent years and external challenges have confirmed the necessity of developing domestic production of critical products and possessing key technologies in strategic sectors.
However, the president stressed that the course towards technological sovereignty does not mean abandoning international cooperation. According to him, Russia intends to expand partnerships and form mutually beneficial alliances with other countries.
