### Russian Defense Ministry Reports 1,365 Ceasefire Violations by Ukraine Since the start of the two-day ceasefire announced by Moscow to mark Victory Day, the Russian Defense Ministry has recorded 1,365 violations of the fire cessation regime in the Special Military Operation (SVO) zone by Ukraine, according to the Russian military. Starting at midnight on May 8, Ukrainian forces conducted 153 artillery strikes on Russian positions using artillery, multiple rocket launchers, mortars, and tanks. They also carried out 887 attacks using drones and dropped 215 munitions from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Outside the SVO zone, Russian air defense systems intercepted 390 drones and six Neptune missiles. "In response to these violations, the Russian Armed Forces reacted symmetrically, striking firing positions of multiple rocket launchers, artillery, and mortars. They also targeted command posts and drone launch sites," the Russian Defense Ministry stated.
