Stable pork production in Russia is helping to maintain moderate price dynamics in the domestic market and enabling an increase in export deliveries, Interfax reports, citing data from the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the ministry, farms of all categories produced 6.3 million tons of slaughtered pigs in 2025. As of the end of April, wholesale prices for pork halves stood at 192 rubles per kg, down 5.9% from the same period last year.

Meanwhile, pork and offal shipments abroad since the beginning of the year have reached 90,000 tons, up 7% year-on-year.

Preliminary forecasts suggest that total meat and meat product consumption will remain at 82-83 kg per person annually in 2026.
