Over 127,000 Russians Sign Military Contracts Since Start of Year

In 2026, 127,000 people signed contracts with the Russian Armed Forces, according to Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev during the educational marathon "Knowledge. First" (a large-scale public initiative aimed at increasing public awareness).

Additionally, contracts for service in volunteer units were signed with another 10,000 individuals. In total, 450,000 people signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense in 2025.

"This inspires the deepest respect. Both the courage itself and the fact that our citizens, young and old, are answering the call of their hearts to defend our homeland. We are deeply grateful to them," Medvedev emphasized.
