Russia Boosts Potato Chip Exports by 23% in 2025

In 2025, Russia exported 56,000 tons of potato chips worth over $248 million, marking a 6% increase in volume and a 23% increase in value year-on-year, according to Agroexport, as reported by TASS. This is the highest export volume recorded since data collection began.

By the end of 2025, Russia had secured its place among the top five global potato chip exporters. The Netherlands led the ranking, followed by Belgium, the United States, and Canada.

In the first quarter of 2026, Russia exported 11,000 tons of potato chips valued at $50 million. This represents a 16% increase in volume and a 42% increase in value compared to the same period in the previous year.
