Russia, Iran Set Trade Target of $30 Billion

Russia and Iran have agreed to continue their trade cooperation and set a target of reaching $30 billion in bilateral trade, according to Mohammad Sadigh Motamedian, governor of Tehran Province, following a meeting with Russian ambassador to the Islamic Republic, Alexey Dedov, IRNA news agency reported.
"Both sides have reaffirmed their commitment to developing cooperation using available opportunities to achieve a trade turnover of $30 billion. Tehran Province, given the important role of entrepreneurs and economic actors, will play a significant role in this process," Motamedian emphasized, adding that work on a roadmap for developing cooperation is already underway.
The Iranian representative also highlighted interest in joint work in areas such as ecology, logistics development, urban transport, and the implementation of the "Smart City" concept.
