Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban conceded defeat for his political forces in the parliamentary elections held in the country on the evening of April 12th. His party lost the elections.

According to the available data, the opposition coalition "Tisza" (a coalition of several opposition parties) secured 136 parliamentary seats out of 199 possible after processing 53.45% of the ballots. Orban congratulated his main opponent, the leader of the "Tisza" coalition, Peter Madyar (pictured), on his victory. He assured that he and his party Fidesz will continue to serve their country, now from the opposition benches. Orban himself, along with many members of his cabinet, will retain their seats in parliament.

Peter Madyar is known for his pro-Ukrainian and anti-Russian stance.
