Nine crew members of a cargo ship that sank in the Azov Sea have been found on the shoreline, according to Kherson region governor Vladimir Saldo. One sailor has died, and two others remain missing.
The incident involved a "Volga-Balt" type vessel carrying a wheat cargo. After the accident, part of the crew managed to reach land, where they were met by locals who provided first aid until rescue services arrived.
Preliminary information indicates that the deceased was the first mate, born in 1991. Search efforts for the two missing crew members are ongoing, with their current whereabouts unknown.
